Nigel Winterburn says the club must receive an offer ‘in excess of £20-25 million’ for Emiliano Martinez to justify selling the goalkeeper this summer.
‘I saw a fee of £12 million mentioned and I’m telling you now if they let a goalkeeper go for £12m it’s absolutely ridiculous because they won’t be able to replace him for £12m.
A sensible approach would be to sell Martinez for Winterburn's £20-£25m ideal asking price, and have Villa agree to loan Martinez back to us for a few seasons. But if this transfer helps sign Partey and Aouar I think most people will be able to live with that, lets just hope we can get them for £6m each.

Great thinking. Maybe we can sell Auba to Barca for £50m and they loan him back to us until he retires.
Saliba to Real for £49m, with a 10 year loan back clause?

We may try. After all, we WERE tragic enough to agree to that sh !t with Saliba when we were the buying club. The people stupid enough to do that may just think that all clubs negotiators are as dumb as they are.
