First league game of the season with a difference. A fresh start after last season starting with minus 12 points and the under 18s making up the side. Not looking up the mountain at an hopeless task this time. Would nomally be looking forward to a pre match pint before the journey to the unibol. The pubs are shut in Bolton and matches will have to be played behind closed doors from the foreseeable future. The new norm squinting at a mobile phone or tablet or if you're tech enough get it on your telly. A first meeting between the 2 clubs and only the 2nd season Bolton have played in the bottom division. Lets hope the end of time history books show that only happened twice. Team news. Keith hill style ian evatt has alluded to injuries in his squad. Key issues. Will Santos and baptiste return for Delaney and brockbank? Which 3 out of 4 in midfield will play? One of comley, Crawford, sarcevic, white to miss out. Expecting more last Saturday's side than Tuesday. Let's have a good start win and look towards finishing in that top 3.

With new local lockdowns now popping up all over the place is there really any point in trials for fans at the moment how will they prove success or failure if local areas are up and down.
What is going to be the new way forward for letting fans back what we do know is the longer we are away the effects on clubs rises.
I mentioned it further up somewhere should we be thinking about doing something to help do FV need help there's many areas not just money to think about

I see that we have missed out on Ian Evett's main striker target with his club deciding to keep him for the time being. He will now look at loan players to fill that gap.

I thought we already had the top strike target never heard of David Ball is he related too Bobby or Johnny

Aparently he is the love child of both. No one seems to know how that happened but there are many mysteries that can't be explained.

Boris makes a 2nd wave official. This can only be bad news for clubs and fans.

Kids back at school, people returning to work. Been nearly like before march this month in the north west so no wonder the virus is spreading. Immune systems have had nothing to do so these people are catching viruses. Kids go to school, catch something, pass to parents who bring it to work. A few coughing and spluttering at work today, glad to get out. Pubs. Shame the ones who applied social distancing had to shut, pubs still open outside the borough and in some its a free for all.

Funding plans must be in tatters across the leagues didn't FV have a 2 /3 year plan with money to cover it I'd hate to think what Covid has done to the plans

It's matchday again I don't hear a great big cheer.
I'm not surprised there's so much other stuff to be worrying about for most folk.
We couldn't half do with a win today get us up and running and give folk a moment to be happy lift the mood before they worry about yet another lockdown and what the 'eck is going on in the world.

Hoping the 8500 season ticket income helps, new shirt sales. Going to miss matchday hospitality. Always busy match day in the hotel and the platinum suite. Was packed when I sneaked in for an after match pint against Wycombe.
