Huge murmurs coming from Italy that we are in talks with both Inter for Skriniar and Napoli for Milik. If and that’s a big If we pull these 2 off, surely along with our other signings, this has to go down as our best transfer window ever ?
Jose and Levy are utterly ruthless in this window and it’s so refreshing to see. No more am I looking with envy at all the other top clubs spending like it’s going out of fashion. Instead, Spurs are finally doing what most of us have always wanted in what looks to be adopting a method of buying quality for now, so success is hopefully implemented on the pitch quickly, rather than years and years of waiting for players to come good.
Jose has clearly come in this summer with exactly what he wants and what he doesn’t. Levy is at the moment looking like he is finally listening and sanctioning these deals. If we can get Skriniar and Milik, that for me represents a stunning window and a squad capable of challenging for all major honours.

Lolpool, Man city, Chelsea, Leicester, and Utd have better midfield options than us.

Maybe even Wolves with Neves and Moutinho

If Skriniar/Dias and Milik/Weghorst/half decent striker come in, then for my money we will have one of the top 3 squads in the league and should be pushing for the title. Top 4 would be an absolute minimum.

Disagree. Our midfield is poo.

The midfield can be average if were playing with attacking full backs, they just need to be hard working and functional, which they are.
Should N’dombele and Lo Celso play to their potential then it could be even better. Pre Thiago, Liverpool’s midfield was very effective without being very creative. They just worked hard, plugged gaps and put their bodies where it hurts.

Don, just how strong are the rumours though? Have they any mileage in them, or is it just rag journalists putting it out there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Milik rumours are not very strong, especially as he apparently turned us down previously because he didn’t want to leave Italy.
The Skriniar rumours are far more plausible and has been endorsed by more reputable sources.

Sandy, our transfer man Hitchin has been pictured out in Milan with Skriniar’s agent. Can’t get anymore concrete than that. Sounds like a deal is being worked on to sign him.

That would be decent business if Spurs could pull it of. Don't fancy Dier CB all season.
