I maybe being thick, but why are the BBC saying all Scotland need is an 8 point victory to overhaul England & progress? The current points difference between points scored & points conceded is in excess of 50 in England's favour. As far as I can see, the only chance Scotland have is a bonus point win by scoring 4 tries or more.
Can someone put me right please? For the record, I expect England to win & win comfortably.

If Scotland beat England and stopped them getting a bonus point, they would finish ahead of England using the head to head rule. I think points difference would com into it, if 3 teams finished on the same points, so this scenario might be assuming Argentina get 4 tries and top the group.
I'm ot 100% sure though. But each of the 3 beat each other so the head to head would be negated and it would be points difference.

Cheers Irish. Had a feeling that might be the case. Now get off this Board & get back to putting Jonty, LIW & others right on this, that, & the other.
