Derby County 0 - 4 Blackburn Rovers

Derby County v Blackburn Rovers

Pride Park -Derby

Not sure what is more disappointing - the late loss last week or the kibosh put on any of the Faithful being allowed to attend a social distanced Pride Park. This is serious - Derby County have the clout to ride this out but what about Matlock Town, Borrowash Vics, Mickleover Sport, Ilkeston FC or Belper Town? Not good

A much improved display last week gave much heart - unfortunately the injuries Jack and Joz soured things - anyone have the latest on their situation? Two new signings Ibe and Bob Duncan along with others and I'm struggling to keep up.

Still looking for a first league win - it's early days and Phil likes to keep us guessing on formations. I can see what he wants to do but can the players?

Team news:

Marshall
Wisdom
te Wierik
Jozwiak
Bird
Byrne
Marriot
Sibley
Buchanan
Rooney (c)
Knight

Subs: Roos, Shinnie , Clarke, Whittaker, Evans, Holmes, Hector-Ingram

If the attitude is wrong, which i don't believe for one minute, there is one person responsible for the team's attitude and that is Cocu. I think they are trying to play the way Cocu wants them to but they don't have the skill as yet.

Well that didn't go well did it? especially my little dig at Forest losing last night. The goals just seemed to happen almost by accident. Back to the drawing board I'd say. But the young lads were slight positives I think.

Frustrating isn't it. but I don't buy the "skill as yet" bit. Yes, it takes time to mould a team, adapt to the manager's philosophy etc, but skills should be a given. We need to at least start to progress now, not next season or thereafter........

I suppose you all ought just to be thankful you didn’t get a points deduction at the start of the season

Rev, in the spirit of fair play, we've imposed the 12 point deduction on our selves

Whats your excuse?

No excuses here mate, I think we’d have to say the same

Poor management, poor recruitment, poor overall running of the Club

We got this xxx

bad start isn't everything, I still think we'll be top 2, only to miss out on promotion when we the EFL win their appeal and we get docked points.

Rooney has looked like a league 2 player at best tho, not sure what's going on there, he's having the same negative effect he had on England when we played Iceland.

Top 2 might be a stretch even at this early stage but what I don't want is Cocu sacked especially when we could be described as a spine of a team to come back.

But one thing for sure, in defence you need to play players in positions where they are at least foot comfortable, what are we doing in training that dictates chopping and changing players game in game out.

Pick one and stick with it, injury, suspension free.

Must admit I did expect a poor start with the first team players we have out. Also expected to lose yesterday too. Becoming 3-0 down in a matter of 4 minutes, to me showed the lack of mature players in the squad. It shell shocked them and they were like rabbits in the head lights. Cant see much improvement in the short term but feel that the new players WILL bed in and we will climb up the league. It's a fact though - it's no fun being a Rams fan ATM.
