About right I would say

1 week for each of the first 2 punches but that last one was worth a good 4. Less one for a good record = 5 , spot on I say.

Although I am still an advocate of being banned for a number of matches rather than weeks as at the season end it is pretty meaningless.

I quite agree Nikolas. 5 weeks at this stage of the season means nothing. I don't think it was long enough though. Should have stayed at the maximum. The "provocation" was nowhere near enough to warrent a halving of the ban

A storm in a tea cup, too much made of it IMHO.

I feel the way the ban was calculated was wrong- the provocation seems to have been factored in to the initial tariff--10 weeks-- and then halved due to the youth and previous record of Manu--The initial tariff should be higher, I think at ten weeks it sets a bad precedent, and the discount for a youthful first offender should have been higher, leading to a similar result in the end.
