I was going to do an after the dust

has settled article tomorrow morning, but after today, where Spurs totally destroyed United, I thought it only right to praise the team to the hilt, and do one of my well thought out articles.

That was a magnificent performance, even when United had 11 on the field, Spurs tore them to shreds. I doubt any team in the Prem will live with Spurs once Bale is added to the starting XI. They are looking that good at the minute.

Four games from Sunday to Sunday, lost none of them, knocked Chelsea out of a cup, and totally humiliated United on their own ground, and all that after being totally robbed by the officials last weekend. What a team (squad) Jose is building. For all the doubters, who think Jose plays boring football, think again, that`s 11 goals in just two away Prem matches, absolutely brilliant.

The whole team were magnificent today, and other than the mistake in the very first minute for the penalty (and I did say it was good to get the penalty out of the way early), I don`t think any players could be faulted. Son, Kane, Hodjberg and Aurier were all 10/10 today, the others not far behind.

I obviously will not be changing my mind about Tottenham winning the title this season, it is early days, but I will be very, very disappointed if at the very least a serious challenge is not put in this season. Jose has come in, he is a serial winner, it has taken just a couple of windows, and he is already shaping a trophy winning side.

Spurs look so well balanced all around now, and capable of competing on more than one front. I will go so far to say, I reckon Spurs have the best squad in the Prem right now. I doubt any team in the Prem could compete in three competitions in eight days and come through unbeaten. Not only unbeaten but hand out a couple of absolute tonkings to the opposition. 13 goals scored in three days. That is what Spurs have just done.

Anyway two week rest now. Bale and the second striker to come in. What a great time to be a Spurs supporter. All the doom and gloom and last season should have completely vanished now. Everybody should be on board getting behind the team and the manager.

I need to update my article on goals scored this season.

COYS

PS Would be nice if Villa could stuff Liverpool, would be the perfect end to the day. I have had a couple of quid on Villa at 13/2.

Not excusing Lamela but I think the ref would still have sent Martial off even if Lamela hadn’t gone down as he obviously saw the incident.

Haven't seen it myself yet but why didn't Lamela go, then? I heard he struck first?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Waiting for the corner to be delivered, Lamela our his arm up trying to create space. Touched Martial’s chest. Martial responded with a little slap on Lamela’s chin

To be fair neither were Red cards, none were worse than what Mane did midweek, and he only got a yellow.

Having said that about time Spurs got a decision go for them against United.

Martial deserved red by the letter of the law, but it was harsh when you see what Mane was let off with a week before

I’m seriously excited by this team. It’s taken a while (the back end of last season was abysmal) but they looked incredible today. Every player was on it. There was purpose, a proper system, and they were ruthless.

I’m normally pretty measured but I’m with Sandy here, a genuine title challenge doesn’t look totally out of the question right now.

Am Not getting overly OTT here. Only a few weeks ago we were poor against Everton. Will leave my Spursy cap off for now and enjoy out current run. Long may it continue.

Every team is allowed an off day, and to be fair Everton have franked the form. They have won every game they have played. So no disgrace really losing to them.

Now if Spurs had just been walloped 7-2 by relegation fodder from last season, then that would be a different kettle of fish.

Gotta love how Sandy edited his article after the event and added that bit.

Sandy some of us can read and recall you information, stop being like Trump and trying to rewrite the past.
