Will players have to self isolate when they return from the international breaks? And if not, why not? The whole thing doesn’t make much sense to me anymore tbh.

I would love the answer to this.

If we have 2 players now off to brazil to not return to thursday and the infectivity may take days to show up in testing how can we be actually doing this.

I'm afraid that we are going to see an explosion of cases as players so what players do when left off on their own. 3 england players got done for being idiots before camp even started.

Apply this across the globe and we could see a massive issue in the prem top clubs after this window.

I would assume that if shaqiri is out of state then he will have a hell of a time getting back. He should be self isolating where ever he went.

hindsight is wonderful but in reality we signed thiago then where did he get coivd. do we know? did we test him before putting him in squad, i presume yes. etc etc.

The assumption thaigo gave people covid doesn't stand up to the testing regime scrutiny. the issue for me is where is mane, Thiago and now shaqiri get this from.

It would make sense to me that a player isolate for 10 days after international travel as the "bubble" can't be proven.

If england go away, ok the bubble might be good but the antics prove otherwise.

But if you are firmino or james or fabinho or ederson they all need to go to south america, somehow. and back, SOMEHOW and travel inbetween in unknown conditions. the risk ther eis huge.

Same for arsenal signing Partey or utd signing cavani. Both should isolate for 10 days or 2 negative tests min.

Surely should this not be a case of the Liverpool staff and players self isolate for 2 weeks? But having said that, if that was to happen, the season would take years to finish because it almost seems inevitable that every club would self isolate at different times.

Frankly I'd be more surprised at this point if the season does get played out. There's surely going to come a point where it simple becomes impossible to continue?

Nah. If it comes to it they may take a 2-3 week break where everyone stops and then returns. Everyone knew what this season would be. None if this is a surprise, or it shouldn't be.

I don't think and I certainly hope it doesn't grind to a halt. But as I've said above, why not just have the Liverpool squad self isolate for 2 weeks now, not sure how they'd every play it out going by individual cases unless you just class them as an injury.
