After seeing his great start to the season, which I don't think is a suprise really. He was allowed to leave because we had reece james and we made it clear he was the current/future number 1. The wider world has now started raving about lamptey, so my question is who do you think will have the better career down the line between him and James? They're that different in playing style I find it really difficult to tell at this moment in time. If lamptey could get a move to a very attacking European side I think he could really flourish. James I'm still waiting for him to hit that next gear that really makes me think wow.

but what does right now mean? because it wasn't last season, so are you literally basing this off of 4 games? and kane has been better than cavani for years. So right now kane is better

I'm sort of torn between this one, it's something I've pondered since I heard Lampety wanted to leave.
Tariq is the one out of our academy that I've enjoyed watching the most over the last 3 or 4 years but not the one I expect to have the best career, which is James.
I had formulated a plan to keep Lampty, that I was going to send to Frank but never got round to it.
In a nutshell, my idea was to tell Frank to forget this notion of signing Rice as a DM, push James in midfield and Tariq and Dave compete for RB!
Should have give Frank a ring really!!

At the time I was surprised we let him go so easily but I'm told on here that his contract was running out etc. Still we could have offered him another one. Hopefully we have some kind of buy back clause on him but I doubt it.
