Man City vs Chelsea

Interesting match-up, Chelsea have the better XI but I really don’t like their middle 2, front 4 have obvious ability to win a match and will cause the City back line issues. That said I liked the RoF lined his boys up and his 4-3-3 would stretch the Chelsea side and I think over-run the midfield too, Fan is a top manager and wins far more than he loses but I think him allowing his fullbacks the freedom to stay forward and asking Biscuits and De Jong to cover them is a mistake against wingers as quick as City’s even more so when they’re already out-gunned in midfield.

is a pretty stellar battle, and one that’s hard to call on paper it comes down to the individual battles on the flanks for me, and I think Sterling and Mane would roast their opposing fullbacks much more than Grealish and Traore would. I really liked Rof’s tactics and his insight to the line-up but I feel Thiago and Neves could be a bit samey, he mentions Thiago sitting in front of the defence and playmaking but Neves ends up doing the same role (it’s a real life issue with Neves and Moutinho) but that said it’s a quality line-up and certainly helps retain possession – hard to pick any other holes or faults Rof quality side and tactics.

I like how Fan’s evolving his side in the time ive been gone from here but I think it’s just missing something, maybe the formation – I know you said you want jack coming inside but I think you misuse him in that system, hes such a fantastic ball carrier I’d like him on the ball more, other than that Fan solid team and tactics as always

• I Like Rof’s 4-4-1-1 the 2 banks of 4 would certainly nullify the playing between the lines that fan wants his side to play, there’s a real physical core to that side
• I know he plays there for Utd but Greenwood looks a #9 for me, bit of a waste out-wide (has no bearing on slots just saying)
• Pogba out there is a bit left-field for me but I like the notation about him given what is effectively a “free-role” when you’re in possession
• Son as a second striker would work, him playing off Lukaku has potential, plus he’s a livewire so would certainly enjoy playing between their defence and midfield stopping the build up from the back
Busquets is a decent anchor man and I begrudgingly rate him, shadowing Son though “Busquets is our deepest midfielder sitting just in front of the CB's he will shadow there AM and not allow him to control the game” who has been given a free role would leave gaps for the others to expose
