The defence this season have been fantastic. Mings has really grown into a natural leader. Konsa is fast becoming a legend. Cash is a superstar, Targett is Mr Dependable.

All backed by the best goalie I've seen at Villa in over a decade. Martinez is superb and communicates with the back line brilliantly. Arsenals loss is our gain.

Lessons learnt from last season were invaluable. We're a completely different beast now.

Great start..............

Who knows what will happen but not letting in goals and look dangerous going forward.

Trying too much, held on to the ball too long at times when easier to pass, played well tho

Love the turn from SJMG

Starting to love football again. We look darned good at the mo!

Not getting carried away just yet but our recruitment was very good in the summer and players like Luiz, Konsa and Mings have improved massively after a season under their belts in this league. SJM has recovered fully from his injury now and back to his best - great assist on his birthday! Defensively and offensively the team looks so good and I have to give credit to the boss - I didn't think he was capable at this level but he was given time and it seems to have paid dividends.

We must do all we can to get Barkley signed permanently, before the season ends. Guy has given us a different dimension and allowed Grealish to flourish even more.
