Is there any future in him as part of the ‘2’ in a 4231?
We clearly look better with 2 more defensively minded players behind Bruno. Even if Pogba is a better player than McT and Fred, mentally he just doesn’t want to do the work in there.
Who wants him back in the line up on Saturday? He played well when he came on but is the McFred axis now our most important midfield partnership?
Should Pogba stay out of the side?

Last 2 games he's made a good impact off the bench... Expensive impact sub obv
I'm just glad we're appearing to be moving away from him "having" to be fitted in
I'd go same again for the next game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If stage one is impact sub then I don’t expect to see him around for long.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Up to him to be consistently good then... We've been waiting over 4 years.
It should be horses for courses... Like it or not with our set up at the start of the game would most trust him to put the shift in that Fred and mct did?
Absolutely against weaker sides he's going to create more than either of them are capable of.
And I know he's not suited to 4231... I've mentioned it often enough.
Hopefully we see a bit more variety in lineups and can bring the best out of him.... But we've been making excuses for him for a long time

I agree he could be a behemoth as opposed to a monster.
Begrudgingly, I fear his time is up at Manchester United.

I'd settle for him being a monster tbh

I wouldn't mind
------McT-----Fred-----
Rash----Bruno----Pogba
--------Martial/Greenwood
With back 4... Pogba has plenty to offer if the defensive requirements at taken out of his role...
McFred should be a staple in a every game... regardless of opposition at least until we have a trustworthy backline...

He needs to show the same attitude he shows when he starts games.
His last 5-6 best performances have all been from the bench. It’s purely a mentality thing.

And this shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the problems we have in this squad. There isn’t a staple of this midfield regardless of opposition, it’s exactly because of certain opposition, and systems that we employ, that the midfield cannot consistently perform.
We consistently struggled in midfield last season with Fred and McTominay in midfield when we were playing opposition we needed to break down.
I don’t understand how people have such shiiiiit memory that they forget this.

In Fred, McT, Matic and Pogba there are the ingredients to make a good midfield two or three. However, these qualities are spread round them and the weaknesses come into focus in certain games which is why there will have to be an element of horses for courses with them.
Funnily enough, with games coming thick and fast, that may not be a bad thing in terms of keeping everyone fresh. The big question is whether Ole can juggle them all successfully.

It's not our sh!t memory, its your sh!t understanding of the game and players available.
You do realized during that period of struggle, we had absolutely no creative players in our midfield. No Bruno, no Pogba, no VdB, Mata playing geriatric footy. We had Perreira starting ffs!
In that situation of course you are not gonna break any team down.
However, that has changed we have these creative MFs and can play up to 3 of them with McFred in behind them and create more than enough chances.
And just as importantly, we would have real quality to bring off the bench should the starters not be able to break the opposition down!

Oh so it’s your shiiit understanding as well as memory. Even when we had creative players it was still a problem due to their inability to transition the ball. It’s not a coincidence that Ole kept on using Pogba Matic in midfield, when they were fit, so they could distribute the ball into the attackers. If it was all about Bruno those two wouldn’t have carried on playing.
