Back to back clean sheets for the first time in God knows how long. Defensively things are coming together nicely, mendy is settling in well and if he didn't play today we would have lost. James and Chilwell have probably been our best performers this season so far, both providing good runs forward, good crosses/passes in the final third, solid displays defensively and can play out from the back we'll and play out of the press. The same can be said for Silva who baring a slip against West brom has be absolutely class. Zouma is what he is, okay when next to Silva. Fingers crossed we go back to a 4 in Europe and continue this solid displays

may just be me but Silva even at his age seems to be the fittest strongest player in our side, maybe second to Reece.

Yes, no doubt Mendy and Silva improve us defensively. But 3 4 3 is not the formation that Frank intends to use this season. So until we can consistently defend well in a 4 2 3 1 or a 4 3 3 we are not out of the woods as yet.
But, let's hope its a start of something

Seeing an improvement in defense switching to a 343 is like seeing an improvement in attack after switching to 424. It's good that it happened, but it's an expectation.
It was a game that didn't really prove/progress anything, a temporary stall in order to gain a productive point.

Silva has been great other than like you say the slip which has happened to many. Mendy also looks like a capable keeper which anything from average is an improvement.
