Looked at from the Plymouth point of view, tonight’s game might be seen as their toughest home fixture so far. They have yet to lose at home with 3 wins and a draw so far. Rather similar to Crewe’s, their away matches have been difficult assignments with a narrow single goal defeat at Hull and a 2-0 at Lincoln, but they did better than us at Wigan only last week holding them to a draw, so they will not lack confidence.
If we return with a point, we will have done better than most so far and it will probably be enough for the manager to feel that we are back on course. The stats and match reports show Plymouth to be an attacking side which may be helpful as we can do well building up skilfully and speedily from the back. Having actually seen Rovers at Plymouth 2 or 3 years ago it was apparent that their support is very vocal and their home record will probably bear that out. There is no evidence though, that they are missing it too badly and although they have not faced any side at home which is at the top end of the table, it is still too early to judge relative strength. Clearly, they possess an attacking spirit based on the shots-on-goal in most of their matches. Conor Grant, the ex-Everton loanee is now a regular there and scoring goals, although he might still be out in Covid isolation for tonight’s game.
It should be a lively encounter then and not easy to predict a score. I am going to be cautiously hopeful and say 2—2 and Okenabirhie with the first, so I expect it will actually be my favourite choice, Anderson.

My predictions are rubbish this year. So 3 - 1 to Rovers Gomes or Whiteman

It seems score and you will be dropped for the next game! I was going for Gomes to score and he is not even on the bench.
I'll just after assume DM gets "horses for courses" correct. Like Nookie, my predictions have been rubbish this year, and still I'm staying positive with a 2-1 win for the Rovers, and Okenabirhie for the first goal.

Plymouth 1-2 Rovers
Okenabirhie to score..
C'mon Rovers

Was going to say 3.1 to Plymouth, only had rovers to win twice. Wigan and Crewe, so back to the reverse psychology 👍

The unknown quantities have proved to be rather better than we might have expected. Plymouth outplayed us in the first half and confidence waned again.
There was more determination in the second, but quite often our players crowded each other out in the box. Okenabirhie was good In his role leading the line and deserved his goal.
If they had scraped a point we would probably say they worked hard to get it, but they should have competed better in the first half and their failure to mount even token defence of Plymouth’s second was a monumental failure of organisation.

Absolutely dreadful first half - probably the worst of the season so far. Some improvement in the second half except for Plymouth's second goal. Okenabirhie and Whiteman created great chances for themselves through great play and then blew it with poor shooting (perhaps Okenabirhie should have fallen down from the push of the defender before blazing over) and how did Wright not score with that header.
On this brief appearance by Amos, perhaps one of our "regular" fullbacks should worry about his starting place. To me he was our one bright spark of the match.
By the way, I got the Radio Devon commentary. I change from Safari to Chrome and got the Rovers' commentary. The wonders of technology, or what has iFollow against Apple?

I nearly mentioned Amos too. He played only briefly, but looked confident, passed the ball accurately and nearly scored. I’ve been pleading his case from the first time I saw him I think 3 years ago when I think he looked good enough then. Halliday may not be the one to drop, but space needs to be made.

Donaldo, you may be right as I wondered where everyone, like, Hound had gone. I'd hate for this ja606 to disappear into the ether, I remember a few years ago there were people in Switzerland, NZ, NYC, Montreal, and the marine guy nominally I think in Brasil, and, of course, my late mate in Wisconsin (NYankee). Even it is just we two, I like it to go on as I think we are of approximately the same age and memories of the past when footie was really a working man's game.
I must admit I enjoy watching the Premier League on NBC over here, but if I was still in Donny, I would not feel the same.
When I see about Jon Taylor and the Titans, and what the Club Doncaster do in the community. I'm proud to have been born in Doncaster and being a supporter of the Rovers.
At the time of looking for support we sent a small contribution to the fund in the name of our grand-niece who used to play for the Belles' junior teams, and I hate to admit where she, at 18, is playing now. We got a lovely letter from Gavin, and we loved the response as I hope he had many donations.
It will always be RTID for me.

That is very heartening Micky. I shall put up my intro to the Lincoln game shortly.
For me, it has been a true the luxury to be able to watch every match and it has made this season extremely pleasurable. Even when results do not go our way I have the consolation of understanding better why and I can make comment without fearing that I am being too speculative.
