Looks like this will be key to success this year more than ever .
We will clearly miss Virgil and our reliance on the frailty of Matip is a worry . Overall I think we are still ok despite a shocking run - hendo , Allison , Keita , Virgil , Thiago, Matip ox - backbone of the team there out so far .
But looks like hendo is ok and the midfield will be fine for the next games . Suspect klopp has his eye on the city match and will want his best team out for that which aside from fab and Virgil we should have a decent team out as Matip will be ok by then .
Clear we will need another CB in Jan and ideally ship out some of the front line and bring in a quality player - jota looks the real deal , origi needs to go now and minimino shows no signs of getting used to our league yet so may need moving on in the summer
Overall we are doing ok but need an injury free run of games now

And don't hold your breath for matip. Even if he plays the next game he probably be out again for the next 4.

Changing the likes of Origi, Mini can wait till summer but in Jan we need a CB. Last few seasons we have bought someone late December like VVD and Mini who are then ready for first game of Jan. Hopefully something similar happens again.
For the time being we are either looking at Hendo at CB or young players like Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips.
On weekend I can see Antonio bullying the young lads but we need Hendo in midfield.

the biggest single issue is obviously cb.
getting through the next 5 games will be very very tough.

the break will do no favours at all. meaningless drivel where taa and henderson will be flogged.

The only squad player of the front 3 that gives any sort of quality is Jota. Seems to be a step up on the rest. Minamino I'd still reserve judgement until the end of the season because he doesn't get much in terms of minutes as it is and the Austrian League to the Premier League is one big step up in all fairness.
Origi and Shaqiri have been around a while and Shaqiri shows glimpses of quality, but not enough for me. Origi just looks like he's fed up of being a squad player. I feel for them, they don't get many minutes so I don't think you'll ever get consistent performances from them unless they got a run of games, but they don't do enough to justify any sort of consistent game time when they eventually play. Last night proven as it was all just pedestrian pace throughout.

Think that’s fair other Than I like shaq. And he wasn’t playing last year as he was injured, he does have the quality and for me is an important squad player

I understand his injury problems and I do agree, he does have the capability to show quality, take his pass to TAA leading to the first goal for example. It's only ever in glimpses though. Jota I can imagine will be a consistent threat when playing or from the bench, Shaqiri tends to go missing in games sometimes.
I do like Shaqiri when he plays well, but he will either come on and do something or he will just look as if he hasn't contributed.

I agree.
Shaq is a great player to be able to bring on. Has a great left foot and has a lot of quality. Not a player to be relied upon to.start and finish a tough run of games, but a really good bench option.
Origi has scored some iconic goals, but imo doesn't have the quality.
