I think the diamond is a great system for the squad of players we have.
It leads to Greenwood being a squad player (which he should be for now) and with Cavani (who's movement looks good) as well we are covered nicely in the 2 forward spots.
Also the midfield four can be easily adapted based on opposition. From very defensive with Matic at the base, Fred and McTominay infront with Bruno at the tip to very attacking with Fred at the base, Pogba and VDB infront with Bruno at the tip (I'd like to see something like the latter against teams trying to sit deep against us).
Defensively we seem to be fine in that setup (I was concerned that the CB's might struggle having to move out into wide areas at times) though it would be good to see more from the full backs offensively, perhaps Telles can help with this on the left.
Overall it seems to be good for this bunch of players especially as we have no natural wide players and I hope we see it more than the 4-2-3-1 which creates more problems IMO

I didn't watch the match live. Just caught highlights of the goals.
At one point we had rashford martial and cavani running into the opposition box, something that I haven't see utd strikers do for a long time
Whatever lead to that is good

Impressive result last night, looked a good team again.
Now lets see if it turns into something more substantial.
