You seem to make it out like Owen's first and Giggs's were good skill from theirselves. I'll give you that Giggs did well in the build up but he did get the deflection that got him the goal, otherwise it was Lonergan's, and Owen also mis-kicked his first goal.

I thought the build up to Owen's first was great but he did mis-hit it (I'll check ehat I said though). I thopught his second was a beauty. No mis-hit there. Giggsy just skinned the defence alive for the third. There was a defelction looking at the replay but it still wasn't bad for a pensioner

Cheers duckie, I actually agree with your post, but I only saw it on TV. I don't know where the ball would have ended up had it not taken a deflection for Giggs goal, but you win some you lose some.

I think it's clear from Lonergan's position as the shot went past him he had it covered as his hand was just below his crossbar. Why would he be up there if it wasn't going there?

Yeah that's what I'm saying, the deflection was late so Lonergan had already reacted, so he couldn't adjust himself, his hand was just below the crossbar, an area where he wouldn't have placed his hand if the shot wasn't going there, so I think it's safe to assume Andy had it covered.
