Good performance today and I really enjoyed the 4-3-3, shame pulisic got injured pre game as I think he would have had a big impact today.

Mendy - 7- another clean sheet, can't ask for more than than.

James- 7 - looks to be operating at a much higher level this season, constantly delivering quality balls into the box even if we're not doing alot with them. Strong and defensively he's looking alot more assured.

Silva - 8 - the guys just class, very calm, good on the ball and does everything asked of him defensively with very little fuss. The way he is just settles everyone around him, very important for us this season.

Zouma - 7 still the zouma of old, clumsy and uncomfortable looking, but what a beast, very strong, great in the air and quick, he just adds so much to our defence with his physical attributes. The goals he's getting always help too.

Chilwell - 7 - looks like he's been here years, settled perfectly. Crossing is better than Leicester fans would have you believe and I think he's really kicked on from the form he showed for them. Defensively very solid and can play out from the back and out from the press very well.

Kante - 8.5 - best games he's had for us in ages, this is what we've been used to seeing. Broke up play well and hunted for the ball like only he can

Mount - 8- nice to see him in his favourite position and i think it's something we'll see alot more of. Plenty of energy as always, some good passes to set our forwards away and running from deep with the ball to charge us on.

Havertz - 8 - finally settling now I think, such an air of class on the ball, great footwork, awareness and lovely little passes even if he isn't lighting things up just yet. If he can operate half a second quicker I think we really have a player on our hands. Much prefer him in this sort of role.

Ziyech - 9 - very very good performance, good goal and his eye for a pass is clear to see. Roamed all over from his position on the right but it was working well for him. Going to be responsible for an awful lot of goals and assists for us this season.

Werner - 6 - the guys not a winger, tries his best and his movement, speed and quality ensure he gets himself and others chances but he needs to be back up front. Looked very frustrated today but what a lovely finish.

Tammy - 7 - thought his link up play and defensive work were really impressive today. I must admit i didn't think he'd get much of a look in this season but his form is forcing the issue.

I'm very sure we'll still see 4231 & 3421.
Frank is very much a horses for courses flexible ideologic manager, which works for me...that's the way modern football is moving to.

Far cry from rigid damp squib...we've seen under previous managers that are extremely stubborn in their ways, which ultimately turnsout to be their downfall.
433 might work now, but in future will have to change it up when teams to start figure out how to combat the system.

Mendy is the real difference-maker at the back.
Exudes unadulterated presence, and assertiveness in the way he positions himself and distribution of the ball.
Made almost everything look easy thus far.
Finally got a 'keeper that we can rely on.

Reece is displaying the qualities which already existed in his game.
All that was needed is time to hone his standout qualities, I'm so pleased that he is working under a manager like Frank that has inherent belief in his youthful standout ability and doesn't think like some thick as mince so-called fans that have no patience, only seeks immediate results and used the performances of Lamptey to slander James...when in actual fact James has proven to be more solid than him as a wingback, fullback and midfielder in the step-up to top-level football.

Reece is the archetypal modern day fullback conducive to everything Frank (& Jody) is looking to achieve from that position.

On the subject of the defence...we're the only team that has stopped the opposition from having a shot on target twice (against Palace & Burnley away).

For context...none of other the "big six" have achieved that thus far.
So much for "Frank can't coach a defence".

The defensive improvement has been monumental

Werner for me gets an 8,same as Zooms, he had them chasing shadows,Zooms was a threat all over the park !

Pretty good ratings for me but generous to Werner, only gets a 6 cos of the goal.
Also thought chillwell was deserving of an 8.

Utterly dominant and convincing performance for a game I was worried about after hearing of pulisics injury
