so i sat and watched this the other day with my young un, and as far as kids films go it was pretty decent.. however it has received a bit of a backlash...
The Witches star Anne Hathaway has promised to "do better" following the criticism the film has received for its portrayal of limb difference.
The actress acknowledged that many people "are in pain" over the way her Grand High Witch character is depicted.
"I owe you all an apology," she wrote on Instagram.
In the new adaptation of Roald Dahl's 1983 book, the witches are revealed to have three elongated fingers on each hand and toe-less feet.
Comedian Alex Brooker and others with hand and arm impairments have accused the film of being insensitive towards disabled people.
"To me It sends out a message that we should be scared of people with missing fingers," Brooker told the BBC earlier this week.

Alex Brooker is one of the unfunniest men on the planet, if he didn't have a claw he wouldn't have a career.
That is incredibly harsh but it's also true.

Again, as I tell you every time, this is only in the news as it gets clicks and big reactions from people. For many decades people have been writing in complaints about minor things on TV, but they didn't get news stories made about them. Now they do because it's a tried and tested formula for creating a reaction and getting clicks and views. Blow a minority opinion out of proportion and it'll get the attention of those responsible and they will be forced to make a standard apology, which leads to more stories to get you outraged and it just continues. Ignore it and it shall go away. There is no need to get so wound up about it. Just chill a bit

So what you're saying is we should gather all these snowflakes and lock them up in Azkaban?

As a kid I remember watching the original 90s version not realising that it was in fact 'Roald Dahls The Witches'. It came on TV in the back ground one day, and so i ended up watching it. It was a decent movie back then.
And then a few weeks ago, i see the trailer for the modern version on FB and think to myself, this looks familiar

You're not wrong Dunc. Too many people these days want to be victims. When did it become trendy to be an absolute sh*thouse? Wet blanket c**ts.

I bet he he is one of those where his whole stand up routine revolves around it as well.
