Happy?

Surely, as like on sunday, we have to be happy with a point away at one of our promotion rivals??
Lets just forget about our favourites tag for the moment and think of this as another good point gained at a ground that is a hard place to go for any team now.
Bring on 3 points against them lot on Saturday now!!!!

The difficulty of picking up points away against clubs in the top six was amply demonstrated by tonight's other fixture, in which league leaders Southampton lost to Cardiff, a team that our players dealt with more successfully a few days ago – though some of our supporters gave them little credit for it.

The papers tomorrow will say of our game, quite rightly, that the *home* side were 'forced to settle for a draw'. The Boro fans will have been expecting a win tonight, which would have taken them top. They, rather than our supporters, have good cause to be disappointed with the outcome, and to feel that they dropped two points tonight.

Although the Barnsley game can be pointed at as a missed opportunity, the main reason we're not top of this league is the points we haemorrhaged during two home defeats, not the ones that we couldn't steal from tough fixtures like Boro and Cardiff away.

I do agree, though, that we need to start showing more signs that we know how to stick the ball in the back of the net – beginning with this weekend's game. Even though it's a local derby, in which almost anything can happen, another 0-0 would not be satisfactory at home, and you won't see me defending it if it happens.

Why was Beckford replaced after half time? Was he injured or did Sven actually try to shake things up a bit?

Injured.

Not serious hopefully, want to see him up front with Nugent against Direby

It sounded bad from Stringer and Young's first reaction.

If not Beckford I'd like to see Schlupp, not Vassell, up front with Nugent.

Actually Wassa, it's more like £11m we've spent - not quite Man City style is it? By the way, have you sheep sold your allocation yet?

Cardiff twice in a week, then up to Boro for a night match....that's a stupid comparison with our fixture, and you didn't answer my innocent question.
