Hendo is a good player and a great professional. You get these players that give everything to the club and the consistency of the performance levels means they are often worth more to a club than much more naturally talented players. Although they played different roles, I'd liken Hendo to Gary Neville in that they both eeked everything that they possibly could out of their ability through hard work, commitment and sheer dedication.

some are along for the booze and shouting and taunting and really don't have any understanding of the game.

I'm not downplaying either of their ability levels. Both are good footballers that have done the very best that they could have. They have maximised their potential. Great professionals.

Gary Neville was top ten, quite probably top five in his position at times in his career.

Can’t say that about Henderson. Not even close.

Not actually sure if that is relevant or not myself at this stage.
