Giroud being only eight goals away from being France's top goalscorer ever having featured in 18 fewer matches than Henry is a phenomenal achievement, has this uncanny ability to switch on immediately at International level despite not playing much at club-level. Admirable.
He will eventually topple Henry

The explosiveness, directness, moving more freely (rediscovering the gears), and varying degrees of excellence to his shots returning.

The only slight chink was movement off the ball, but that has clearly advanced this season (always receptive) + already struck a solid connection with Havertz.
