Newcastle

An early kick off after plenty of international football and travel against abit of a bogey team without our defensive leader and potentially Chilwell. No Pulisic and no havertz could make for a tricky game. Hopefully a good international break for the rest of the team, in particular Mount and CHO (if trusted) could lead to some good attacking play and hopefully a win. I'm going to go for a hard fought 2-0 tomorrow if Chilwell does play.

Comfortable win at Newcastle.

My attention is already on the CL.
Beat Rennes away and Sevilla win or draw (preferably the latter for Sevilla) both teams through to knockout round.

Remaining dead rubber matches can be used for fringe and rotational purposes.
Gilmour specifically should be starting in one of them.

As a northern Ireland fan, thank goodness I can watch Chelsea this weekend.

Internationals hopefully will not disturb the nice playing style and team cohesion, as Frank is moulding a decent group here.

Newcastle & Villa (A) are the two fixtures I consider our banana skins. Villa more so but Newcastle are tricky pests, anytime I think 'ah we got this' they spring up with a random result every time. Did last year.

Thankfully this is one of the years I think we might slip up (without certain players available), so we'll properly win

Concur.
Hopefully put a nice run of wins together, which we are more than capable of doing.

Fully expect the 5 subs rule to be enforced again anytime soon, which will be helpful.
They should increase the bench numbers from 7 to 10 as well to my mind.

Yep, not the best scheduling from the premier league as usual.

Haven't got the best record on their ground either so expecting a tough game.

They'll obviously play the 5 at the back and look to counter with Wilson, Almiron & ASM.

Hopefully can get the 1st goal which will make life easier

Another win ☑️
Another clean sheet ☑️

Slightly odd game. Newcastle were pretty awful but did still have 2-3 decent chances. I don’t think we were brilliant but still could have won like 4-0, 5-0. If we were truly on it today it could’ve been a massacre. I don’t think anyone performed over like 7/10 but also no one less than 6/10.

Actually Werner would have but as usual gets his goal contribution, seems to be becoming a pattern for him.

Again, I think some fans watching were harsh on Tammy. Misplaced couple passes at end of first half but created one of Werner’s key chances, tested ‘keeper well with that header and of course got the goal.

Full backs and Ziyech quieter today.

CBs I think quietly did kinda well. I think they were in some difficult positions today when Newcastle particularly ASM, got in between our lines.
