Yes, Rooney has ruled himself out of playing - and it's the right decision. You cant Manage and be one of the Lads at the same time. I rate him as a player but the trouble is he tries to spread himself to thinly over the pitch in a way of papering over the cracks. Rosenior I think is too much like Cocu in that he's a 'nice guy'. If Wayne has any hopes of managing DCFC he has to impose himself and be "the man".
I keep saying it, we are punching massively under our weight. Good players dont suddenly become bad players. The decline at the end of last season was not halted and has carried on into this. We want players who give their all when they pull the shirt on. It was plain to see on Wednesday who was 'giving it all' and who wasn't. Wayne needs to address this.
We have a massive opportunity again in the next 2 games to address this against teams who we should be beating. 6 points would give us all a massive boost and set us off in the right direction. I still remain positive as there are what 30 odd games to go in the season but we need to fix this asap
