if any of you think wigan will beat us,then give me some odds lets see how much your prepared to gamble,at this rate we will be the laughing stock of the football leagues, get behind the team.like robot said we have a better squad than other teams, wigan.west brom.blackburn,swansea,sunderland,everton,q.p.r.and yes norwich yes norwich we lost that game because klasnic got sent off,we lost against arsenal because n'gog got injured and wheater got sent off, so COYWM show some backbone.if we had beaten norwich we would be in 14th position having played all but chelsea of the top 6.

We lost against Norwich because we were bloomin awful. We were already 2-0 down before Klasnic got sent off. Our defence looks awful and has been caught out on numerous set pieces. Im normally positive and upbeat, but I am actually thinking that we will get relegated this season. We must be one of the slowest teams in the league and we constantly get beaten by quick wingers. We also never seem to be able to take a man on, the only player who ever tries to beat more than one is Mark Davies and he must have urinated on Coyles kids on Christmas eve because he never seems to get a decent run in the side. I know this seems very negative, and i assure you im never this bad but its time to wake up and realise we are in deep excrement

Here here totally agree and the.only game we looked half decent holden plays were will these people who say stay postive when we bottom at xmas without holden we are dire

It looks bad but after six games? Come on have some faith.

We all knew that the fixtures were against us but in reality the only game we should have won was against Leicester. After Chelsea we should be able to put some points on the board. When that happens all the negs who are saying we will be relegated will look a wee bit silly.

Even the most positive people must admit we will be nearer the bottom than the top. So let's get on with it and scrap for every point going forward.
Too many on here were hoping for Holden to save our season....well that's not happening now.
I said last week that I would be happy with 17th this season....I'll stick to that for now.

i think coyle is a top man - nice bloke n all that

I think his enthusiasm was what saw us through last season, i believe that is now wareing thin. This is the time coyle gains my respect as a manager, when we are under performing.

So far now he is failing, someone has pointed out that the manner of our defeats speaks volumes, and i can only agree. We havent even put up a decent challenge against these "big boys". We have a back four who lets face it, are not the best, but they are big and hard! so why do they not put fear into people, muamba is a great tackler, as is reo-coker, yet our midfield is walked through like it isnt there.

my suggestion would be to play 4-5-1 - with a midfield that will firstly support the back four I.e the wingers will support the full backs, we have 2 tacklers in midfield, and then we need a midfielder who can keep the ball

Jussi
Steinnson
Knight
Cahill
Robbo
Davies RM
Muamba DCML
Reo Coker DCMR
Mavies CM
Eagles (i hate to drop petrov, hes been our best player, but he just doesnt support robbo, eagles is rubbish, but he does get back)
Ngog (bitta pace to stretch)

Very negative team indeed, but when allardyce saw us going thorugh games of conceding goals, he went into a game with the mentality "WE MUST NOT CONCEDE A GOAL"

this must be our aim - as when we get forward we do have some quality to finish the limited opportunites that 4-5-1 presents!

It sounds negative, but hopefull there will be a positive outcome i.e a draw against Chelsea

=========================================Dont remember that one..spose you mean Norwich. As for our precarious predicament and the news re Holden I have come to the conclusion that this season is jinxed..We have umpteen injuries and the opening fixtures list from hell

It's a horrid blow of course but still NOT the end of the world. With Reo Coker, Tuncay, Pratley, Eagles, Muamba, Petrov all fit we can still put out a competitive midfield. Up front we have both N'gog and Klasnic as well as SKD (I'd start wil Ivan and David) plus there's also Kakuta, Boyata and Cahill all fit. Not to mention the likes of young Eaves who looks promising.

I know that we won't do as well as I had hoped before the season started because there's not many teams in the prem who could stand the loss of not one but TWO players like Holden and Lee BUT I seriously don't think we're even close to doomed.

In all honesty I think much of the depression around this board has come from the worst opening fixture list I can ever remember and it's only natural that three points from six games gets people thinking gloomy thoughts.

But please guys, it isn't time for the old cyanide capsules yet. Also don't forget that there is a window in January in which we might well be able to strengthen further and that there are other teams close to us who've had far easier fixtures thus far but not left us behind by any means. With thirty two fixtures left to go I'm a long long way from resigned to relegation and I still have faith in Owen and his abilities. He's had the worst luck with injuries but I still feel upbeat about him and the direction he's taking the trotters in in the the long term.

I know it can be hard but please keep the faith because Owen and the lads need us now more than ever.
