As it's December 1st today, I thought I would get a debate going, For me, It's driving home for Christmas Chris Rea, Underrated song, I find songs like the Pogues overrated in my opinion.

I heard on QI that "five gold rings" is the only line in that song that is covered by copyright. Everything else is free.

I’m sorry Matth but Driving Home for Christmas has to be the worst Christmas song there is. Or the Paul McCartney one, wonderful Christmas time . For a Beatles “legend” it’s pretty plss poor as a song!
Don’t particularly like Christmas songs but would have to go for Elton (Step into Christmas) or Slade

I am not a Queen fan by any means, but one of my favourites is “A Winter’s Tale”. I also like the David Essex variation of the same title. There are a few others but the Pogues & Kirsty come out on top for me. That Freiheit (or whatever) one too.
