I said at halftime that Ole should have taken him off because he was a red card waiting to happen in the second half.
He was always walking a thin line after only escaping with a yellow card in the first half with that headbutt and later stumping on someone's foot as well.
It was pretty obvious that he was unlikely to finish the match on the pitch.

Fred has given away needless free kicks that were scored against us in successive games, then got himself sent off tonight. A period out of the team until he grows up and learns some discipline would do him no harm

Even without the red, Fred's game is largely based on pressing - can't really be effective at that while on a yellow anyway
Fred is not a Matic type that can sit deep and play without having to make tackles

When Lamela got Martial sent off at OT, and on a yellow, Jose did exactly that. Sub him at half time. Its the commonsense approach which even fans watching would have taken....for a manager not to He aint doing himself any favours, it's a rookie error.
