I can't stay away now!
I've just posted a dilemma as part of my TOTD:
Imagine that the impossible happens and we have to trim down our squad to 16 players (i.e., the starting 11 + 5 subs).
Which 16 would you choose to keep?
Assume that all players are fit therefore could slot into the squad immediately. You can have one of our on-loan players, the rest have to be permanent signings.
My choice would be:
G Ian Bennett
G Alex Smithies
D Peter Clarke
D Antony Kay
D Jack Hunt
D Calum Woods
D Jamie McCombe
M Donal McDermott
M Danny Ward
M Scott Arfield
M Gary Roberts
M Anton Robinson
M Damien Johnson (my loanee choice)
F Lee Novak
F Alan Lee
F Jordan Rhodes
Lastly, if you could replace one of your 16 with a former player that we could have back, who would choose and who would you leave out of your 16?
I would have Anthony Pilkington back in a flash. I'm sorry to say that I would let Gary Roberts go.
