Team is going nowhere with the midfield as it is, that has to change. Can’t see any reason why Xhaka plays, we don’t have great options but he’s got to be replaced, he’s not been useful under 3 managers past about a couple games here and there. We’ve got to move away from him always starting

It's not only Xhaka who hasnt played well for a few weeks now but was better earlier.
Why do we give Bellerin, Willian a free pass to disappoint again and again without consequences?

Is there a clause in Willian’s contract saying he must start every game?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That would be stupid - it says he must get at least 90 minutes every game

At least we are storming into the knockout stages of the EL - whee we will promptly get knocked out

Been a huge fan of Bellerin over the years but around the time wenger left and he started dressing like a runway model the guy has been pants. Let him go, along with a fair few, and rebuild.

Willian, Auba, Xhaka all need to be dropped.

We just add them onto the Never Play Them Again bench - which is getting quite busy

Not been the same player since his injury, his greatest asset was his pace but he seems to be a yard slower since coming back

He has always been suspect defensively to be fair though, he was a little less vulnerable in the past because he could recover with pace but he was always liable to get muscled out of something or lose an aerial battle.

The bellerin situation can be resolved so easily it drives me mad. Just play Ainsley there like he was when bellerin was injured. He's better defensively, faster, and plays the RB/cm dual role when we don't have the ball. My only delusion is we keep playing him to maintain his transfer value for the next window.
There aren't many great options in all our other weak areas. Getting some good attacking players in was essential in the previous window and we didn't do it.
