Arteta is not ruthless enough

Another North London defeat for Arteta. I blame some things for the manager, but the players must also take responsibility. It was a North London derby and you don't need enough motivation to know the magnitude of the game.

I think Arteta has made a mistake in playing or rushing Partey back from injury. Now, he is likely to miss out quite length of time because recurrence injury is extremely bad.

He also playing underperforming players in the team consistently in the Premier League, while the team is doing fantastic in the Europa League. Yes, the Europa League might be poor compared to the league. However, he is not trusting the Europa League players enough even though they're more expansive.

So Arteta lacks ruthlessness because he's too afraid of dropping big players even though he got nothing to lose due to the consistent defeats in the league.

You need a team with hunger. I don't see that with Laca, Auba, Xhaka, and Willian. However, if you put in their place with yougesters such as Balogun, R. Nelson, Smith-Rowe, and Maitland-Niles. They might make mistakes, but we need to know if they can do better.

Arteta needs to find the players who will step up quickly when everything is not going well. Now he has Burnley and Southampton at home. There aren't easy games in the League, but fortunately, he will have enough fans to get behind the team.

I doubt the owner will help Arsenal sign creative player and forward which they desperately need on January.

Arteta has only one game plan . Attack down the left and give it to Aubabeyang.

Aubameyang has disappeared No plan B. 15th/16th in the league. Sack this manager before its too late. 15th in December FFS . Fack the process

Maybe the players he has to replace them aren't as good. Europa is quite weak at this stage and you can get away with fielding a weak team.

For the game, I have no idea why you guys kept crossing the ball in. You don't have Giroud or a striker like that in attack. PEA doesn't score many with his head.

Spurs and Jose were more than happy to let you guys have the ball. You can't create chances and all the crosses into the box (reminds me of David Moyes when he was managing United) were always going to favour Spurs defenders. Classic Jose bringing on more defenders at the end to see out the game and time waste. They'll be fresh for the next game.

IF you keep putting the same team and still can't get any points whether it is away or home. Then, the manager has to make drastic changes. Arsenal is slow for the PL, so i think we need some youth in the XI. Arteta is not taking risks even though he can clearly see Auba, Laca, and Willian have been poor. He probably feels they're the only ones who can save him from this nightmare.

As for the OP, Arteta is ruthless. A bit too much. He's frozen out our better midfielders and instead kept the crock of sheite. Looks at Spurs midfielders. It was so easy for them the defenders had the deck chairs out smoking cuban cigars throughout the game. Never at any point did the midfielders lose contol over to Arsenal.

People are forgetting that this squad of players went 2 and a half months without winning a game of football last season. They also then went on to win the FA Cup. So something is seriosuly starting to backfire behind the scene. Maybe Arteta has lost control of the squad. Maybe we were just always awful and we got away with it because Auba bailed us out last season. Whatever the reason, the reality is this squad is, at best, a mid table club. And now the players who actually made us punch above our weights have given up the fight.

The next two games will decide the fate of Arteta, but the problem is

It's a bit harsh, but we need to wait until the new year we'll see if he can pick up points before then. We knew if Auba faces goal drought Arsenal will struggle to pick up points and that's what's happening now. Arsenal need signings on January.

He has to make changes, you're right about that. Whether that is the system or personnel, is the question though. Maybe both. But Europa isn't a good measure of how a player will perform in the PL. Mhiki was good for United in that but poor in the league and same could be said about him during his time at Arsenal. There are some players you are surprised not to see in the side though, such as M-Niles who has played well when I've seen him. Kicking Ozil completely out of the side may come to haunt Arteta, though that may be more about those above him than just his own choice.

Unless we don't test on some youth players for the PL consistently, then we'll never know if they can do a job or not. I know we gave some minutes for Willock and R. Nelson but not Maitland- Niles and Balogun and it's tough on them for not getting as many minutes as Laca, Willian, and Auba who all have been poor.

I don't know Xhaka's strength apart from his long passing range. Each position he plays Arsenal is weaker.
