Lamela

Is it time to call it a day with our prime $h1th0use?

As a player, he has actually grown on me over the last eighteen months or so, although I'll never be his biggest fan I cannot fault his passion, work rate and attitude.

But the niggling injuries are painfully, painfully predictable now. Again he's got injured, been out for about a month and has no sign of a return date.

Get into the team, find a bit of form at the beginning of the season, become a valuable squad member, get a 'small' injury that keeps him out for six weeks or more. Get fit again, get injured again, rinse and repeat.

Just so irritating, although hardly his fault.

What do we all think?

Agree with the above.

Would never have him in the starting 11, but useful as an impact sub I guess. But time to move on 👍

It`s a shame he is so injury prone, I love his work rate, commitment, shietehousery and love for Spurs.

For me it is the injury problems that make me want to get rid of Lamela. If he was fit for 90% of the season he would be an extremely valuable player.

Feels harsh getting rid of someone because they can't stay fit but there is very little loyalty in modern football. If Real or Barca wanted to sign him and triple his wages (hypothetically!) I'm sure he'd be off in a shot.

Don't mind him as the 25th man in the squad but if it's a choice between him and Dele it's a no brainer

I love Lamela but no point if he cannot stay fit.

A good player and useful squad member when fit, which is barely ever, thus making him a waste of time, wages, and squad space, sadly. Don’t see who would buy him with his injury record though.

Sell Alli and Lamela and buy Dybala

will be a shame to see him go, but the time's probably come.

if he didn't play RF or was homegrown then maybe room could be found but as it it's hard to see how he can say.

will be sad to see him go if he does though and hope he gets some better luck for the rest of his career.

It's at least 2 years past time to call it a day with Lamela. There's a point at which hoping he'll one day get over his injury issues becomes pure delusion.
