Wolves decided to start playing and we crumble. What a shambolic performance that was, really worrying. Team beaten by Aston villa completely schooled us in the second half.
I am sorry to say this but I have posed the question before, what happens when we lose some of our new players to injury or bad form.
The excuses given earlier on was wait till we have all our new signings, now ziyech is injured, havertz playing like he needs a slap, Werner looking like moratta Mark 2 and we are back to square 1.
Lampard needs to stop playing favourites no reason to have forced havertz back into the team and mount is ineffective in his role.
Werner was the worst player today, absolutely horrible and shameful to call yourself a top footballer with that performance.
Oh well we was wonderful hoping of being a title challenget for a few weeks. Onto our next bogey team.
What happened

Fair points Brum....unfortunately these days we expect the best from what we pay very good money for instantly...we were spoilt somewhat in 04-06 seasons where everyone hit the ground running after a multibuy window.
Not expecting the title this term, by any means...but I do expect a minimum standard from high calibre players, and currently we're not seeing it with one or two
Mendy has come in and been pretty fine barring the inevitable blunders you see with keepers, Silva is an absolute rolls royce of a player, & we've seen Mount & James flourish into top players
Pulisic would be great if he can stay fit for a while...jury's out there

"I am sorry to say this but I have posed the question before, what happens when we lose some of our new players to injury or bad form"
we're already here chief...& what you get is what happened in the last two games
Players not showing any form
Werner
Havertz
Tammy
Lightweight & injury prone
Havertz
Pulisic
To be fair we don't know the extent of Havertz covid issues...but surely the medical staff do - & he's fit to play currently
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Havertz - just turned 21, new to team, new to Premier league, new to the country.
Werner, new to the Premier league.
Remember, not so long ago people were questioning Pulisic - now they're saying he's integral to the success of the team.
Bottom line is not that many players from abroad hit the ground running straight away. Give them time and I'm sure in 18 months they'll be fine and you'll all be grinding your teeth when the parasites from Madrid are sniffing round them!

'Just not good enough, not as good as we thought we were, out of what I d say are good teams we ve played we ve drawn to saints and spurs at home and lost both to everton and wolves away, pretty alarming that'
'It was another shocking performance. To loose to teams like Everton and Wolves shows me this team has gone backwards....NOT forwards. now we are blaming fatigue....at this rate not even top 6...let alone top 4.'
__________________________________________
Typical fatuous, dof statements and premature conclusion.
Context:
- We're 2nd to Liverpool for goals scored (tend to score at a higher rate when Tammy & Werner are on the pitch together)
- Top for set-piece goals which is an improvement
- Standard of deadball deliveries improved, as a result...defenders scoring from the set-pieces (Zouma doubling his best ever goal tally this early is symbolic of that). Which wasn't happening last season.
- Markedly improved set-piece defending from last season (very strong progression on this).
- 13 different scorers, which is the most in the league (didn't get near that last season, spreading the goals well)
- Four points up on where we were last season
- Not even half-way or at the critical stage of the season yet!
- These back to back one-goal margin losses are off the back of a 17-game unbeaten run, in which we've looked rather good and it has been notoriously difficult to keep that up particularly during this month/season where schedule is congested more than ever, was never going to last forever...losses happen.
- Every other team around us is dropping points as well, in case you hadn't noticed
- Not to mention safely navigating through to the CL knockout rounds, with relative ease and a couple of games to spare.
Ended up finishing on our second best ever points total, which is no mean feat considering the level of opposition in our group.
We've made strides this season, back to back one-goal margin defeats doesn't take away from that.
Losses are bound to happen to a team going through a massive transition in a short space of time and with injuries/illness to our best creative outlets.
We've shown some character coming back from losing positions this season, which wasn't the case last season.
Yes, the fashion in which we lost is bad. Doom and gloom? No.
This is in no way, shape or form...the stage for people to be losing their shıt.
Such reactions are quite frankly shameful, given the improvement and progression we've made this season.
Get a grip!

This is a team being built for the future, I'm expecting improvement next but maybe the team won't show it's full potential to the year after!

cmf...the critisisms i've seen (& contributed to) have mainly centred around the following..
Werner - poor technically currently, - needs work.
Havertz too flaky - needs work (tee covid not withstanding)- needs strength work.
Pulisic great when playing, useless when permanently injured - needs strength work.
Tammy - still can't stand upright...(dunno if that's fixable) needs to finish more like Giroud...probably fixable
Sort these things out...we fly

All things considered we're doing alright. I do see similar tendencies to Arsenal's 05-15 team in this team & have for awhile (going back to Sarri in fact), but that's only a problem if it doesn't change after 4-5 years of the same pattern.
Not worried about top 4 at all. This team's shown it's got too much firepower even without Werner & Havertz doing their thing to miss out.

Too late men. Everybody has had a decent conversation without haters like you. Try earlier next time or if you don't like certain people and their conversations ignore, easy.
Oh yeah congrats on being a real fan
