My biggest issue with this is nothing to do with football or the person involved but that I don't think I've seen anyone disagree that there was no malice and it's a cultural issue which he'll know now moving forward, but that as a society we are moving into a space where we accept that it's not just 'ok' but correct to punish someone in these circumstances.
Common sense gone completely out of the window. It's going to be so much worse in another ten years and then ten more after that. It doesn't combat anything, it doesn't help battle any discrimination at all. If anything it equips already ignorant people with things to use as things to push their agenda and confuses people in the middle.
This does absolutely nothing to educate people and eradicate discrimination.

So basically what the FA is saying is that you are prohibited from using your own language in a way that is perfectly acceptable if there’s more than one possible translation of what you said and one of those translations can be used as a slur in a completely different context from the one you used it in.
Not only is it ridiculous, it’s downright discriminatory. If I was found to be the guilty party I would absolutely be on the phone to my lawyers to explore the possibility of suing the FA for damages to my reputation and for preventing from me from freely exercising my profession.

Take the ban now while he’s out. Accept the charge immediately. Absolutely no point him getting fit then taking the ban.
No point trying to fight the FA, Silva case is precedence. Early guilty plea hope for a one match, no harm done.
I hope ole doesn’t treat this like he does substitutes and acts way too late

Actually if you see this snow story in full it is incredibly funny this is just a paraphrasing of one part.
It starts with a snowman, so you can understand that the woke brigade down the street wanted a snowwoman, then a transgender then the vegans get upset by the carrot.

The lack of common sense on this isssue by the FA really annoys me but at the same time does not surprse me.
Racisms comes from ignorace. The people making the decision to charge Cavani given the context are clearly ignorant of his culture or intent on making an example of him. Either way it does nothing for the plight of those who are actually interested in a fairer society. It is now another example of overzealous publicly played out PC that actually cheapens the debate.
