Just wondering. Because if it has, just want to say that having watched all of our last 5/6 games, we aren’t as good as we think we are.
We can’t string 2 passes together
Nobody but Kane & Son could score in a brothel
We let in far too many late goals which costs us points
We let pretty much every side totally dominate us, including shiiit teams
Bale was a total vanity move from Levy, Jose doesn’t want him
We’ve zero creativity in midfield
Watching us is like Chinese torture
But glass half full eh- we are second ......somehow
Has the dust settled yet?

Actually when we went on the front foot, we looked very good and only the post and Harry’s strange header stopped us going ahead. But think we can let Harry off because of his phenomenal record.
It’s no shame losing 2-1 at Anfield, remember they have not lost there in around 66 games since 2017. Impressive stats indeed.
Looking at our PL record v the so called top this season it reads: Man U won 6-1, City won 2-0, Arsenal won 2-0 , Chelsea drew 0-0 & Liverpool lost 2-1.
So that is 10 points out a possible 15, if we had been offered that return weeks ago, then we would have been delighted, we are still second behind the clear favourites.
Don’t forget though Liverpool were 5 points ahead of us earlier in the season and we caught them.
Who knows what might happen over the Christmas period, if we are still only 3 points behind them after Christmas then we will be in a very good place!👍

Everybody is continuously forgetting that it's a bloody miracle we are anywhere near the top. Think you had to capitalise on out injuries last night to be honest..
We will have a much healthier squad best time we play.

tbf though, first half could any players out injured improve how you played?

Ambition at the start of the season was to get top four and try to win a cup, to me this has not changed and we are still on course to try to achieve this, yes people get excited seeing us top but remember what the remit was start of the season and how we are progressing.
We are desperate to win a trophy this season.......

Afternoon Genius, good post. Yes I think you have to look at who Spurs have actually played, and to come out with 10 points out of 15 after playing all the so called big boys is very commendable.
Spurs are definitely right in it, and as you say they were once five points behind Liverpool, and now are only three points behind, having played them all at least once.

I think the last couple of results have been a lot down to Jose's tactics to be honest. In both games, you sat way to deep.
At Palace if you had gone for it a bit more in the second half you'd have won by two or three I reckon. After they equalised they were clinging on for dear life but they score late enough that it didn't matter. Again, if they equalised about 10 minutes earlier, you win that game. Inviting pressure on yourselves trying to protect the 1-0 lead cost you the points.
Likewise, yesterday if you had tried to put Rhys Williams under more pressure throughout the game I expect you may have got a result.

Possibly not. Only Thiago in for Jones and maybe one of our first choice CB's would be in line and not slightly behind like Williams was but you make a valid point. The only thing that would have changed is maybe Jota would have been on for Mane sooner but apart from that..

I thought Jones was outstanding last night to be fair🤔👍

I agree with the points Neo made. An underwhelming performance, though one that admittedly could have turned into a win but for a couple of great chances not taken. But I was disappointed, I know we're not a 'toe to toe' team anymore, but with the attacking players we have available... we should have tested them so much more.
I thought Aurier was brilliant, mind. Curtis Jones looks a very comfortable, technical player for Liverpool. Not seen too much of him but my impression is he'll become top class

Spurs obviously had the best clear cut chances last night, but I disagree that it makes you unlucky not to have won. You had three clear chances and scored one, that’s a good conversion rate. We create loads of chances, are frequently pretty wasteful in front of goal, but score plenty. It’s stating the obvious but the more attacking you are, the more chances you create and all that pressure will pay off in the end. It’s not just luck that the defending team make so many errors against us, it’s the result of constant pressure.
That’s the pretty significant downside to Jose’s tactics, you have to be ruthlessly efficient in front of goal, and apart from Son and Kane you just don’t have the right players.
