After the Liverpool game I posted on here about how Jose was too negative at key moments in the game, only to be torn apart by some posters on this board. Today's game just proves me right, so I stand by my point. Watching that match today, I just felt like Jose (and the players) were far too concerned about stopping Leicester playing, rather than having the impetus to put them to bed. When you're playing at home the onus is on you to take the game to the opposition, but today it looked like Jose drummed it into his players that they must not let Leicester have too much space on the counter; resulting in a horrible, negative Spurs performance. I do wonder if, at times, Jose overburdens this team with too much emphasis on stopping the opponent. To the point where it almost drains their confidence and stops them from wanting to risk anything offensively.
Jose must change or Spurs can forget winning the title now, next year or forever.
It's On Jose I'm Afraid

Wow, I’m amazed no one thought of this before yourself. Absolute genius.

Yet when I said this on Wednesday I was slated by all the Spurs fans.

That’ll be because you’re a wum....

Based on what? Speaking the truth about a finished manager??

well he'd already be pondering it after the first one but that 2nd would have sealed the deal

The contrast between the Rodgers and Mourinho post game interviews was striking. Rodgers was very professional and spoke about his team and a deserved victory. Mourinho, on the other hand was his usual defensive self and was talking about a strange game?
Spurs have gained 1 point from their last 3 games. That is the reality of the situation and the sooner he accepts the fact that his team is playing poorly the sooner things might change for the better.

Well, I've only watched the first half so far, but I would agree totally with Mourinho that the first half at least was "very strange".
Leicester had 70% possession and managed one shot of no consequence. Spurs on the other hand, later in the half, decided to play football, and had 3 good chances in the Leicester area, Son scuffed one, Kane missed another header, and Ndombele got caught on two minds.
And then Aurier did the stupidity when the half should have already been blown finished.
You could blame the ref!
But yes, a strange half indeed.

Mourinho's always been about stopping the opposition before considering how you can hurt them, that's never gunna change I'm afraid. The issue is he's setting you up the same way I could imagine him setting up a team like Leicester or Wolves if he was their manager.
The 3-3 vs. West Ham is probably to blame for this negativity, someone on here pointed it out a few weeks ago & it make sense. He doesn't trust you to outscore opponents right now.
