Phil Jones

Daily Mail reports for tomorrow that we're planning a 22 million bid for them to outbid the mancs? Obviously, it may be nonsense but it's some food for thought!

Really couldn't give a toss, even if we pay a high fee, we had to listen to you's lot talking about how great he was and you cant say nowttt!

On a serious note, don't want him and he'll end up at united anyway but for 25mil but pretty hilarious hahaha

Let's just wait and see, it is all speculation after all. Until something official is said by any of the clubs they'll be plenty of rumours flying around in all the papers.
But there must be something there, otherwise the deal would have been done by now I would have thought. Henderson completed his move and I thought Jones would have shortly after but like I said there must be something there but waiting till there's something official said

Agreed - Dodgey dealings, yet could turn into a WTF story, sharpish. Still it will be funny as fook if It turns out to be true.

The Mail on Sunday obviously can't compete with the red tops so has to make up stories.

fergie won't be held to ransom , essien for example . heard two coaches from blackburn and man utd talking today about fergies attitude towards agreeing a deal then changing the price

he won't stand for it basically , enjoy your curried chicken and cluck off was the message .

Liverpool and arsenal NEED Jones , to us he would be just be cover and a future prospect.

how's your stadium going scouser?

Theres no way Jones will agree to join Pool, thats even if the story is true, he turned everyone else down.

We don't want him anyway. He is too overpriced. Yes he is good but at that price we could buy a super attacker. Scott Dann will be ours for £10m, that'll save us at least £12m on jones. That money can be spent on our attacking options. Put it this way if we had a budget of around £15-£18m to buy a winger/attacker, then add that £10/12m that we saved if we brought Dann. I don't know how much we got but I doubt it's a bottomless pit (ie man city) so every penny saved is good in my opinion.
