The OP has a point though.

There are at most maybe 100 active 'contributers' on here now, and most of them are using the site purely as a tribal point scoring exercise.

You can no longer post reasonable articles because within 2 pages the replies ALWAYS become tribal and the articles are ruined. Oh and I count myself in this as I've been as guilty as the rest for the tribalism.

Interestingly the Friday Freds used to be somewhere where tribalism was put aside BUT once Sizzle has you filtered (usually tribalism related on other threads) you can no longer participate in these either.

Nowt stale about Our Matchday Threads

We can still have a sensible forum here. There have, unfortunately, always been the spoilers on this site. Can't let them ruin it. The morons think it is clever, basically because they are not. Keep it going, delete the offensive rubbish and let's keep exchanging our views ( which is what this site was designed for).
It doesn't matter if your are 18 or 81, an opinion is valid as long as it is not offensive.
Use the DELETE function when you get an abusive comment to one of your posts (unless you really deserve it).
This site can be great for help and info. Used it for many years. Please let's keep it that way.

Staler and more stupid. I still don't know why I got banned from the Live thread, or how long the ban is. It was one of the main articles I commented on too.
