I understand Spurs' match tonight against Fulham is off. Premier League decision and both clubs have been informed.
As per Ali G

One thing is for sure, this season is as tarnished and meaningless as the previous sham was
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep- well both seasons have had at a minimum ‘different’ playing circumstances, which are inconsistent throughout the course of a season, so there is inevitable questions about fairness and equality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The funk are you about Utard? Every game has been 11 v 11 on an even level playfield. Absolute tosh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I won’t bother conversing with you. You’re too unintelligent. I believe you must be a minor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You cannot even be bothered to set up an account on here. Says alot about you. This made me laugh :
'Playing behind closed doors is usually a (admittedly weak) punishment dished out by football authorities- but that in itself should inform you that it puts the home team at a disadvantage.'
The home team at a disadvantage!! They are playing at home in familar surroundings utard. How is that unfair? They walk in the stadium to be greeted by familar faces and have their own seat in the dressing room.
They have played there more than any ground and it's a disadvantage? Weak weak weak. You must try harder.

No word of fraud here, Fulham trying to get an advantage here, but when it's City
----------------------------------------------------------------------
City are cheats on a huge scale though.
I agree that both are seeking advantages, but one has less sympathy for City as they just bribe and buy their way out of bother.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are both weak and a coward.

It’s true Palmers.
It is inequitable that, for example team A might have played away at a rival in the earlier part of last season where their opponent was vocally backed by fans, and when the reverse fixture came, it was played behind closed doors at Team A’s ground.
Playing behind closed doors is usually a (admittedly weak) punishment dished out by football authorities- but that in itself should inform you that it puts the home team at a disadvantage.

What’s the alternative? Other than banning fans from attending, I don’t see one.
PS - is this Sandy ?

I don’t know what the alternative is. That’s not the point of what I’m saying.
I’m pointing out that, because of the inconsistent application of rules throughout the course of the 9/10 month season, it is undeniably not equitable.
The degree of how this impacts results is open to discussion, but surely it can’t be argued that there are games played under different circumstances.
And no I’m not Sandy- surely you can’t tell from the writing style.
I’ll attribute a username in due course.

There are too many variables and inconsistencies at work to retain a level playing field and a 100% fair competition.
Once you start changing rules part way through a competition and have participants playing under different sets of rules, with unfair advantages and disadvantages, it just makes a complete mockery of it.
Once the integrity of any competition has been compromised, it is then virtually meaningless and without any credit or glory.

what if its really windy and rainy when team A plays team B but calm and sunny when team C plays team B. not fair really. i think every year should have an asterisk.

The integrity of the premier league is compromised the minute a Jose Mourinho team steps on the pitch. But I’m sure you wouldn’t cancel the season for that (even though most would agree with it so they wouldn’t have to be tortured by the ‘football&rsquo.
