Title Retention

Getting close to having to accept the unacceptable, think the unthinkable.

Maybe time to see the title chase being between the two in-form Manchester clubs with the wildcard being Leicester (again).

It was good while it lasted.

Three years of playing the highest tempo football, burning out players, and only window-dressing in the transfer market.
The inevitable outcome was a mathematical certainty.

Don’t see a huge difference in Liverpool’s away performances this season.

Just not getting the luck.

We are of course still in the title race. We are at worst 3 points off the pace if everyone wins their games in hand. There are massive issues right now though.

Trent has to come out. Even if that means we have 3 midfielders in defence for united with milner at right back it has to happen. Hes not just slightly off the pace, hes miles off it.

We need jota back. That front 3 need rotated, mane is trying but its not happening for him, salah is offering nothing.

We need a centre half asap. 2 of our 1st choice midfield played in defence tonight. The impact that is having on us controlling games is evident.

I really dont understand our subs at times. Im not minaminos biggest fan, but the guy got his 1st league goal at palace and played well, probably put his confidence through the roof. Yet since then he hasnt kicked a bean.

I cant believe how bad we have been. Whilst I'd never write us off for the title yet with citys fixtures coming up I think its highly likely we will be 6 or 7 points behind them come the february clash.

Trent has to come out.

i'd say that's a decision for him, and him alone, to take.

Only window dressing?

How much have you’s spent on VVD, Alison, Fabinho, Thiago, AOC, Keita, Jota and the rest?

Bloody hell do me a favour.

Still get the feeling Liverpool will end up winning the league. It's a close league and teams will go through peaks and troughs, that's just the nature of it. United, City, Spurs, Chelsea and even your outsiders like Leicester have suffered some poor results here and there or had a bad spell of form.

To criticise what the club has been doing now because of a season that has been heavily disrupted is just cynical.

Disrupted through injuries, both at the back and in attack, three average to poor performances, and suddenly, it’s the end of the world.

I think most genuine Reds envisage our team playing the second half of the season, certainly without VvD, and probably without Gomez or Matip. That’s a big loss in anyone’s book.

Our results reflect the totally unbelievable season the majority of clubs have had. Beaten 7-2 one day, won 7-0 the next, predictions, even hopes go sailing out the window.

Last night? Dear Lord, that was dire, at times shocking. When you think thing can’t go any worse, it does, in spades. Don’t be surprised if any one of the first team or squad declares they’re pregnant!!!

But, the end of the world isn’t exactly nigh is it? We’ve had bad December/January times before, haven’t we?

Have faith people. The fat lady hasn’t even started sucking in air, far less broken into song.

We’ll get there. Have faith.
