Have no idea what VAR does anymore. Handball with arm away from body. Given before but not tonight. Mane fouled, seen them given by VAR. Pogba trips himself up - given. In each case they said it wasn’t a clear and obvious error - fair enough. But they were overturned earlier in the season. Really no idea what’s what with VAR anymore. You could say it’s now working properly but why now and not the start of the season?
Will be giving those as penalties next week I bet 😂
Pogba pen vs none tonight- discuss

If you feel contact in the penalty area you go down. That's probably what Pogba was telling Shaw (I'm outraged!)
That's also probably why Salah looks like he's been targeted by the Anfield Sniper every time he plays.

The Pogba one was a penalty. When seen at all angles you can see he does not trip himself over. If that was the other way round, no one would mention it. Out of the 27 penalties we got, 1 or 2 were dodgy, the rest were legit.
Jamie Carragher said tonight that he didn't think the Mane one wasn't a penalty.

it was never a pen he kicks the back of a defenders foot whos legs ahead of him planted as theyre running shoulder to shoulder jostling. This results him a deflection of his foot kicking onto back of his own. Absolute shambles that went to VAR and was given. It was a coming together accidental want even a challenge by the def who got kicked in his calf ffs.

Watching live I said what happened to Mane was the same thing Pogba got a penalty for. He initiated the contact himself, as opposed to actually being fouled by the defender. It clearly wasn’t a penalty, just like the Pogba one wasn’t. But one team seems to keep getting these decisions for some reason...

As for manes tonight it was a pen, the ref n var didnt give him anything all game their rb was allowed to man handle him however he wanted.
But thats no excuse we deserved to lose, we've been playing like sheite struggling to get shots on target vs relegation fodder. Southampton are a good team though.

diff was they werent side by side with the def infront of mane, mane had skinned him and would have got to the ball to put a cross in.

I don't want to talk about the same stuff on two forums.
What you described happened in real time means he was tripped. Pogba was fouled.
Jamie Carragher is an ex Liverpoolcomment player. He didn't think tonight wasn't a foul due to the position of the defender's leg.

Mane one wasn’t a pen, either was the Pog one. I haven’t seen the handball so can’t comment on that.
