5-0 last time we played a Minnow side

Our next opponents in our Euro 2012 Qualifying oddessy are tiny Andorra.

Andorra are rightly considered a "minnow" in World Football. Its a match we should win but probably not by more than 2 or 3 goals. Andorra are rarely beaten out of sight by more than 4 or 5 goals so i would be surprised if we come away with a victory of that magnitude.

The last so called minnow side that we played was Nireland back in May in the Carling Nations Cup tournament. In fact you could say that NIreland have a lot of similarities to the Andorrans. A team full of honest hardworking players who are sadly always found wanting on the International stage and a very small fan base.

Most Andorrans actually support the Spanish side and a similar situation is found up North where most of the population are in fact fans of the Republic of Ireland. Even some of their players are known to be fans of the ROI side.

Back to the Andorra match, for his gameplan Trapatonni should get Ireland to just play the way we played against the North back in May.

If you cast your mind back to that encounter even though it was largely our reserve side that we played that night , time and again we exposed the obvious weaknesses running through the whole of the Nireland team at every opportunity.

This paid dividends in spectacular fashion as we cruised to a 5-0 win over our friends from up North. In fact if we hadn't taken the foot of the pedal it could easily have been a 8 or 9 goal victory. Yes we outclassed them that much!!

So lets hope we get into the Andorrans in similar fashion from the first minute onwards. A win here will set us up nicely for the home encounter against Armenia.

Come on Ireland!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping for a comfortable win especially based on the fact we seem to play better away from home these days.

But have a feeling there might be just one in it. 2-1 ireland.
