You are dealing with a grown up here, I don't get 'rattled' or wound up on such a site, I just get to smile at you funny little youngsters,starting out in life and trying to find your place.For the record though, I've been following Arsenal since 1969. Agreed. The OP is an embarrassing mess who calls people a girl if they have a different opinion to him. Probably a spotty little lad who dreams of losing his virginity one day to the fittest girl in his school but will probably have to settle for the fat lass who sweats a lot.

One thing I don't understand is why do you think it is insult to be fan of someone? You say it like it's embarrassing to be fan of some player. I'm an Arsenal fan but I have some players I like more and some players I don't like. What is wrong with it?

I'm daft enough to follow the Arsenal facebook page and there are many on there who practically worship Ozil, he's bigger than the club in their eyes. There was one guy who thinks he deserves some sort of send off, like for what ffs? Some take being a fan of someone to an unhealthy level.

Okay I agree, but it doesn't mean that every Arsenal fan that thinks Ozil was a good player and liked him is this kind of "fanboy". No player is bigger than a club. Thing is players attract kids to start rooting for some club and they look at that players like Gods. I became Arsenal fan cause of Henry and I was crazy about him, but he was never bigger than club, he was reason I started loving Arsenal, there are kids that started loving Arsenal because of Ozil.

How dare you even mention Ozil in the same breath as Henry.

The issue with the Ozil supporters is that they have been incredibly blind for years now and still seem to think he could be making some sort of contribution - despite the fact that he can't having been proven time and time again.

Just go look at his Arsenal stats, one good season around 5/6 years ago, maybe one average one and the rest fekkin dire.

All the while he's been stirring things up in the background and causing trouble in the dressing room as if he was some elite player that had the right to.

Our worst ever signing for all of those reasons when you factor in total expenditure. A bigger waste of money than Pepe.

Ozil has this unique kind of fanbase that hero worships him that I haven't seen with any other Arsenal player. When you factor in how garbage he's been it just makes it weirder. Henry's our greatest player and Ozil's our biggest flop yet these people see Ozil as some Henry type legend.

Predictably the his little ass-lick squad (aka fanboys/girls) are now trolling either defending him at all cost, denying being the ass-lick squad and/or name calling at anyone calling them out for being what they are. So sad

Right couple things:

5-2 People only get called fanboys when the support the player so much, they put him before the club and more importantly, point blank refuse to admit flaws which are weaknesses to the team. I've supported most all the Wenger babies to the hilt, yet have rarely ever been called fanboy for doing so. Because I will actually admit if a player can't/doesn't do a b or c. I don't pretend the player is flawless. People might hate me but they respect that.

In reality your wanting him back in the team isn't about it being good for the team at all. Because it isn't and would be, good for the team. Calling for it is all about your fantasy of how your hero Mesut would be returned from disgrace, to the Arsenal team. Then play like the superstar you know he is really and then he'll lead AFC back to glory restoring his rep on the way. And then you'll get to gloat at all the Arsenal fans who said it'd never happen.

Who's talking about good enough. You're so up the man you can't even understand what I am saying, you never have. You've repeatedly, like all the fanboys/girls just harped on and on and on about the level of his talent and ability. Of course he's good enough he's one of the world's most talented footballers so that's a given isn't it

It's not my opinion that all the talent in the world doesn't mean sh !t, if the person with it isn't willing to use it. That's a fact of life because we've seen enough flawed people crap talent away with laziness, to know it. Getting Ozil out isn't and never has been about whether or not he is good enough. Always about whether he cared enough. Never mind the crap he spouts in tweets or whatever. 4 years refusing to even try, tells you categorically that he doesn't.

And to answer your question, I'm a football fan who refuses to airbrush away Ozil's flaws just because he says I should, on twitter. I don't live in that ridiculous little echo chamber you do. Hence I'm able to see the truth about the man and have been for years.
