We’re improving but we lost to the better side today. City are the best side in the country on their day and Dias looks a great signing.
However until Fernandinho scored a goal that he probably doesn’t score if he tries it 20 more times we were still very much in that game.
Our attack was out of sorts tonight. Bruno, Martial and Rashford were all dreadful. If they were at it it could well have been different.
There isn’t many things you can throw at Bruno but his performances against the better sides haven’t quite been up to it imo.
Anyway it just shows we are still work in progress but the fact that we have a game to go 3 points clear at the top of the league at almost the half way point shows progress has been made.
I don’t think we’ll win the league, never did but you see numpties like UWW saying we’ll go on a bad run and be miles off.
Other than a slow start to the season we haven’t had a bad run in almost a year.
On to the next one.

We just never win any game that really matters, hence four semi final defeats, be very surprised if not similar against the dippers, out of the champions league already and a tough one first up in the Europa

Definitely a reality check. In terms of Ole not being good enough in the big games.
City were nothing special. Maguire was better than Diaz who Gary Neville couldn't stop mass debating over.
We have no other plan except fred+mct in midfield and counter attack.
Big teams have wised up to and it's not working anymore.
Having said that we cut through city many times and may just have won except City were fresh from not playing much and...
Ole as always, has run his players in to the ground. So we wasted too many opportunities.
Ole doesn't learn. He'll never learn.

We've beaten Liverpool once in 10 occasions against them now. If we sit back and aim to contain, we will lose the game. I'll even go as far as to say that we can be fairly certain of the manner in which we'll lose, with at least one goal coming from us switching off or not competing at a set piece

Have you not seen Liverpool lose against teams that set up exactly this way? It doesn’t happen all that often, but they don’t lose all that often either. We haven’t been beating Liverpool because we’ve been shiiiiit, not because counterattacking against them doesn’t work.

They had 3 wins in those 10 games including 2 goals in a 2-0 win in the Eal that shouldn’t have stood. The Mourinho last game were we were awful and our last defeat was our last away league defeat where we missed 2 sitters. The game at OT was nearly a perfect game by us. If Fred and Rashford took there chance to make it 2-0 then that scrappy goal by luck they got would have been a consolation. Interestingly since Solskjaer came we created near the same amount of chances in all 3 league meetings and expected goals.
