Headline news is that Messi starts tonight's Supercopa Final after being doubtful. Huge boost for Barcelona, especially after he missed a few training sessions recently. Koeman even said he would leave the decision with Messi himself as to whether he played or not!
Big, big game tonight with the first trophy of the season at stake in Spain. Barcelona come into it still in good form, whilst Bilbao will be super confident after beating Real Madrid in the semi final. I think this will be an extremely tight affair, Bilbao have a lot of players who can hurt Barca on the break and they're definitely feeling the new manager bounce of Marcelino.

Loosen up, man. As you said, it's an inconsequential trophy.
Btw, it's not top 4 against each other, but top 2 in the league and the two cup finalists. I suppose the additional slots required when either or both cup finalists also finished top 2 in the league would be filled by the next teams down in the league table.

All credit to Alcoyano, admirable performance from them, they showed so much ambition.
Did you see the winning goal?
They were a man down deep into the second half of extra time. Madrid had a set piece on the edge of the Alcoyano box. No hoofing it up the pitch or trying to take it to the corner flag. They won the ball back, and broke with four or five men playing it on the deck - some neat interplay on the wing, and a very tide finish from the striker beating the 'keeper to the ball at the near post.
Zidane's on very thin ice now. The club's now expected to replace him at the end of the season, but he's left himself with no room for maneouvre whatsoever. Next three games in La Liga are all against minnows. Lose any of those and he's almost certainly gone I reckon. Even a draw in Vitoria on Saturday might be enough to send him packing.
