whose recent article summarises how tomorrow’s opponents have been playing. They are very dependant on their away performances for their points which is not good news for us, but on paper at least our home form is excellent too even though the Shrewsbury defeat weighs heavily.
Rochdale have scored 33 goals (15 in the last 5!) which is way more than any other team outside the top 6. Rovers and Peterborough have scored most, but only one more, so our defence could have plenty to do. Of course Rochdale have conceded lots - 40, but the chances are that we will have to be a bit more productive in the scoring department if they hit their average away total of 2 per game with 15 in the last 5. Quite apart from current form, Rochdale have often got the better of us in the past and usually look better than their league position suggests.
Without 3 Js, J-J and James we will be reliant on the remaining J - John and 9 outfield team-mates to play with a bit more aggression than they did at Swindon if we are to be sure to outscore them. Wright is injured too it seems which is why he was not playing at Swindon and Copps, now 40, was not fit then either and we could really use him now!
So it will not be a dull game - one hopes!
I see that Whiteman played for Preston NE and got a joint top 6.5/10 player-rating and was “solid" in their 0-2 loss against Bristol City whose team included the now regular presence of Tommy Rowe. Can we ever forgive McCann for ditching him and Andrew? Can we ever forgive McCann ... period?
I will base my forecast on my analysis and am bound to be wrong, but I’ll say 4-2 to us and Anderson with the first goal.

Hi Donaldo, I got the correct result, score and scorer v Swindon and the correct result v Rochdale, although not the correct score or scorer. You didn't allocate any points to me for either game..

Crazy: I think you are very polite as it may look to you that I am trying to exclude you - yet again. Of course I am just incompetent and I will put you in bold on my Excel sheet so there will be less chance of you falling victim again. Your carry forward is 51.
Apologising sounds rather lame, but I do it increasingly frequently as I get older and more forgetful.
I will try harder in future.

Donaldo, you do a great job and so an odd miss or two is no problem, and your pre-game analysis is excellent. Perhaps you should look again at my last comment before the game against Rochdale. I said a 3-2 win with Taylor scoring the first.

Hi Donaldo, really sorry, but I think my carry forward points should be 60, not 51. Correct result, score and scorer plus 5 point bonus (v Swindon) = 16 plus correct resuly (v Rochdale) = 3 plus previous total 41 = 60.
