Good Performance

That was much better. It was a bit labored in the 1st half but that second half made up for it. This team seems much better in the second half and especially after we go ahead.

Partey...silky player. Never hurried and had awareness of what is happening around him. Long may he stay fit.

Cedric....man...much maligned as being unnecessary but on this showing, deserves a run of games. Only thing in common with Bellerin was the foul throw.

ESR....daaaaaaaamn. Kid is gaining confidence and the way he made the second goal...wooof.

Auba...great to see him score.

Saka...our best player at the moment alongside Tierney.

Xhaka...played the ball forward and that made a massive difference. A good game from him.

Tierney...my fave player at the club.

Great result...let's push on!

Xhaka killed so many attacks

He is clearly the weak point in this team

Good result although we shouldn't get carried away Newcastle are so poor and surprisingly were very open. You compare this game against a side that really isn't much better than Newcastle in Crystal Palace we struggled, granted we didn't have Tierney and Partey but the next few games will be a better indication where we are.

I want to see Xhaka dropped for Ceballos or Elneny.

Xhaka has actually been decent lately, especially defensively

Xhaka is a better option when Partey is on the field to protect him, I think he’s done alright recently but his mobility is always going to be an issue.

Playing Xhaka means no top 4. He’s the definition of Arsenal in recent years-should be offering much more with the type of player he is, but in reality is just not good enough.

Tierney is certainly my fave of the newcomers, the youngsters are ahead of them all in that sense because I've watched them grow. Tierney looks future Captain material though. I just worry he'll break himself cos he's mental. ESR is a baad maan I enquired as to how good he was, a couple of weeks ago as I'd seen next to nothing of him. Keep on showin me kid

Partey and Xhaka looked ok as a pair and I still think they could make quite the MF wall, perfect for some teams. It was weird but so refreshing to see that much physical strength and presence our MF pairing. They could make a massive difference given our talent up top. Baby Boy done his usual thing down the wing, looked the best on the right I've seen so far. Just want him to stay healthy. And keep the mud off his school uniform

Good performances all around today, even Willian looked half useful when he came on. Let's hope they can keep it going.

No that's your reality. In Football's reality, there's just certain things he needs in his MF partner and the tactical approach. Provide them and he's plenty good enough. Some MFs can be hugely influencial when able to relatively sit and just pick their passes. He's one of them. At his best he can plot in MF a carve a team up. Just needs the mobile partner to cover him and the players ahead of him constantly working to be open. Viewing Ozil as a passing 10/10 (when he was good) At his best Xhaka is an 8 pushing 9.

He's just unfortunately a big lummox, who literally needs extra time to shape his body. His feet themselves are actually quite nippy it's just the big slow clumsy legs and body attached to them aren't He's always been more a victim of how managers used him and how the team was playing than of not being good enough.

I can't figure Xhaka out. At times he looks abysmal and at times looks like a man possessed. I used to think he can't play vs teams that attack us...but that is precisely who I now think he should play against...teams that give us space and where he can play passes faster. A team that sits back like Palace and Xhaka is borderline useless. Yes he made great tackles that game but that is not why he is in the team. I think that is why he looked good vs Chelsea...they gave us space. And Newcastle today were plenty open. Auba had a few chances.

Maine

If we have our attackers at it and really working for space, he can play against either. But teams who'll come on are easier since they leave spaces without our players needing to work them. Static teams we definitely need non stop movement up top, something players weren't doing for ages but the youngsters do for fun.
