Bob Paisley

On this day in 1919, Liverpool legendary manager Bob Paisley was born in Sunderland, England (23 January 1919 – 14 February 1996).
Under Paisley, Liverpool won 6 League titles, 3 European Cups, one UEFA Cup, 3 League Cups, one European Super Cup, and one Intercontinental Cup. Paisley himself won 6 Manager of the Year Awards.
He retired in 1983, after winning that 6th League title.

Exactly, some of to-days so called supporters are Trophy hunters they support LFC when they are winning, they soon slag off Manager or players when they lose a couple games as they know they will NEVER be in there position.

Three fantastic, world-class managers. Medals, cups, trophies-wise, I’d have to put SAF at the top, with Sir Bob a very very close second.

Bob Paisley had the misfortune to follow a legend and as a non Liverpool fan , I always felt he didn't get the credit he deserved. Although ,he probably preferred it that way ,it suited his character

He was a decent manager but you have to remember he took over a great side that was mostly built by Shankly. Steady pair of hands, nothing more and he'll always be in Fergie's shadow.
