Auba, Laca, Eddie, Pepe all are decent enough goals scores on their day, some obviously a lot better than others.
However, one of the biggest reason why we have struggled to create this season and last, is because these strikers don't have anything else to their game.
Yes there is an argument that Laca can at times link up play and be intricate in certain moments but he is hardly consistent. It's just that he is better than the others which isn't saying much.
All the others are absolutely pathetic at holding up play, combining with MF and have zero chemistry between them.
Between Son and Kane they have 24 goals and 18 assist.
Vardy and Rashford have 5 assists each.
The pool front 3 might be struggling at the moment but all 3 have better assist records
I think in the prem, our strikers have registered 1 or 2 assist between them all.
This is a major issue especially when Arteta tries to play 2 or 3 in the same team. Its actually more of a hindrance to the team. The Laca, Auba combination has been a flop since the start and whenever Pepe has joined in, it's been even worse.
We really need to invest in a different type of striker in the summer especially against the modern day low block. We are banging in cross after cross but our strikers are never going to be at the end of it.
Or strikers are partially responsible for the lack of creativity in the team as they are all very limited
We don't have all round strikers

"However, one of the biggest reason why we have struggled to create this season "
The biggest reason we've struggled to create this season is because we didn't have enough quality behind the striker and the slow ponderous midfield. Our best games, and most productive, have been when we've rectified both positions.
Strikers don't create chances. They finish them.

Against the low block, players behind the strikers will also suffer. You need help from the striker.
The job of a striker, in modern times, isn't just about goal scoring

Can't believe you lumped auba in with laca, Pepe, Eddie as goalscorers

It's why I said some are a lot better and yes Auba is a more than just a decent goal scorer

Look at most of the top strikers in the league and look at their assist records

Pepe and Nketiah look like a lost cause to me, you cannot wait years for players to "come good" because they almost never do.
Lacazette is okayish when in form but of course is not a patch on Kane or Son - and I have to say that through gritted teeth.
Good grief, even Lucas Moura is better than these three...

What about Will James (he’s been downgraded from Wilner as it’s an insult to James Milner)?

James isn’t THAT bad
I don’t know what to call him anymore. Williaspas? I know Aspas has had a decent career but in the PL he was diabolical

He really is. Obertan and Bellion were probably better. I suppose he’s not earning obscene money like Wili Dia is, though.
