With Frank gone and the tuchel era starting tonight what do we expect to change in terms of tactics and personnel? I've no doubt he's been tasked with getting the best from werner and havertz so expect to see a change to a 4231 formation with havertz given a free role behind werner. With that in mind realistically I only really see 3 positions up for grabs.
One at CB to partner silva, this really could be any of the 3 cbs at the club I think it really does just come down to personal preference.
A CM to partner kante in the 2 man midfield. Again this could be anyone, personally I'm really hoping mount keeps his place. One of the few players worthy of the shirt in recent weeks. Plus it would be nice to see him keep his place without lampard to get rid of the narrative that he's only playing because of Frank rather than his ability.
Lasyly is a spot on the wing, the fact he knows pulisic will probably see him at least initially starting the majority of games, leaving one spot for ziyech or CHO, really a toss of a coin between these. CHO is more of an out and out wide man where I see ziyech as a playmaker who happens to play on the right as it suits him to come in on his left foot.
I'm going for line up tonight of
------------------mendy-----------
James-zouma-silva-chilwell
---------kante-----Mount------------
CHO--------havertz--------pulisic
-----------------werner-----------------

Can you really keeping calling it a new era? Your managers don't last long enough for it to be known as an era.

As a Leeds fan, there's no love lost for Frank Lampard (mainly for his behaviour at Derby) but he's deservedly one of Chelsea's legends. So I was disappointed that he wasn't given longer to get to grips with the job. Old boy Solskjaer had an unpromising start to the season at Man U but the faith the board placed in him his reaping dividends, big time. And Arteta at Arsenal had an abysmal first half season, but they're now beginning to look like a top 4 team. Surely Lampard deserved a similarly fair crack of the whip - or was something else going on behind the scenes?
