Salford v Bolton postponed

Its derby day and again a great shame this fixture is played behind closed doors. A new ground and jump on the number 8 bus and change to a bus going up bury new road. A shame we will be watching at home on ifollow again. Looking back to 2012 Bolton were in the premier league and Salford in the northern premier league division one north(8th tier). The fall of Bolton and rise of Salford is well documented and as a result of one set of owners funding a club and one set not. Here we are today with Salford in 9th and looking for a win to possibly get in to the play off positions and Bolton in 19th closer points wise to the play offs(9) to the relegation zone(10). Any hope of reaching the top 7 Bolton really have to follow up last Saturday's win against orient and go on a run of wins or the season will simply peter out. The next 10 games all played Saturday/Tuesday played over 5 weeks will decide which way that goes. Team news only politic, edwards, sarcevic injured. Departed the club Riley, Taft, white. Crawford, Gordon and faal out on loan. New signings Maddison, Jensen, Williams and afolayan are all available to make their debut. A stronger looking squad for evatt now which looks more options in key positions in goal, left back, wide attacking an up front he didn't have earlier in the season. Some good work in January with 8 signings. Let's see now if evatt is up to the job now he has the right tools.

I saw Jack's post, I didn't think that it would be game on. However apparently the around both goals the pitch was playable.

So, another game to fit into an already congested season. By the time we have done, it will be two games every week until the end of the season.

So an unnamed Bolton player has tested positive for covid and lee is isolating as a close contact. I've never understood this bit. One of the lads at work tested positive for covid and he named someone as a close contact but we all worked with him so to me we should all have isolated but nothing happened, had no guidance from work at all so carried on.

Weather very frosty in bolton, hoping the under soil heating does its stuff. Interesting Carlisle are playing this afternoon. Match thread up at my break at lunchtime.
